Bait
Revamping an F&B Brand
Nestled in the heart of Bangsar, Bait has long held its place as an F&B institution, being one of the first seafood bistros in the vibrant neighborhood. Over the years, while its reputation for fresh, delectable seafood endured, its brand identity had begun to show signs of age and didn’t reflect the elevated yet approachable experience Bait offers today.
Recognizing the need for a transformation, Bait underwent a thoughtful revamp, breathing fresh life into its narrative while being true to its origins. The brand revamp was an opportunity to refresh Bait’s visual language, aligning it with its new positioning as a “luxe beach shack”—a place where refined coastal dining meets relaxed sophistication.

The new brand reimagines Bait with a bold, contemporary aesthetic, evoking a hint of heritage while exuding modernity. The overall look is sophisticated yet effortless, much like the bistro itself. The revamped interiors, done in sync with the rebrand, now create a warm yet upscale ambiance, inviting diners to indulge in their favorites—whether it’s freshly shucked oysters, perfectly grilled fish, or an innovative twist on seafood classics.
Beyond aesthetics, this rebrand was a strategic repositioning. The rebrand was completed in time to also launch a second outlet in a different location, expanding the Bait brand. By updating its visual language, tone, and overall presence, Bait now connects with a younger, urban demographic—one that values design, authenticity, and memorable dining experiences—while still appealing to its long-time clientele—continuing Bait’s enduring place as everybody’s favourite neighbourhood bistro & oyster bar.
